Big Bags of Money

Big Bags of Money!

Our 'Open the Book' team went into St. Newlyn East School this morning and told this story which is about making the most of what we have been given. The children were fantastic as always and three children acted the parts of the rich man's servants.
At the end of the assembly Mr. Cantin spoke about Ben, who has been seriously ill , but who is now back home. The school had decided to support 'The Starfish Appeal' at King's College Hospital where Ben is being cared for http://www.kch.nhs.uk/fundraising/support/starfish/

Last week the school had a non-uniform day and raised over £200.00. This week on Friday they are holding a 'Cake' sale (everybody is baking!)
During the week the school had an offer that is too good to miss. A local bank has offered to match any funds raised providing the school exceeds £500.00 with their fundraising.

So, can we make 'Big Bags of Money' in aid of the 'Star Fish Appeal' and support Ben and other children with needs similar to him?

Support the Cake Sale tomorrow after school and make Big Bags of Money!
